Melissa is an experience advisor and consultant with deep expertise in community engagement, social risk and strategic communication. With a global career spanning consultancies, government, and the not-for-profit sector, she brings a wealth of experience and insight to the field of community engagement.

Currently, Melissa serves as Technical Director, Social Performance APAC at SLR Consulting, where she supports clients across Australia and Asia to embed sustainability, including community engagement and social impact, into their business practices. Her work focuses on delivering socially sound outcomes that benefit stakeholders and communities, ensuring long-term value and resilience.

Melissa has led engagement initiatives across infrastructure, transport and energy projects, delivering award-winning strategies that prioritise community voice and social outcomes. Melissa is also a former Board Director of the International Association for Public Participation (Australasia, now Engagement Institute).
