Asmah Alias is a museum and heritage leader with over two decades of experience in museum education, public engagement, and cultural leadership. She currently leads HeritageSG’s Galleries, Exhibitions & Museums (GEM) division, overseeing Children’s Museum Singapore, Reflections at Bukit Chandu, Changi Chapel and Museum, and ArCh Square.

Passionate about making heritage meaningful and accessible, Asmah has championed innovative approaches that connect museums with children, families, schools, and communities through play, storytelling, and participatory learning. She has led award-winning initiatives in inclusive programming, digital engagement, and cross-sector partnerships that strengthen the role of museums as spaces for lifelong learning.

Asmah previously served on the International Council of Museums’ Committee for Education and Cultural Action (ICOM CECA) Board for six years and is currently a Board Member of Hands On! International. She is an advocate for museums as catalysts for social impact and enjoys collaborating with international partners to advance child-centred museum practice.
